SLOW SECTIONS: Master, Expert, A, B, C: Choice of Jan 18-21 or Jan 19-21 with 40/2, SD/1, or Jan 20-21 with rounds 1-3 G/60, then 40/2, SD/1. The slow sections play Monday, Martin Luther King day.
FAST SECTIONS: 1700-1899, 1400-1699, D, E, U900/Unr: Jan 19-20 only, all Game/90. The fast sections do not play Monday, Martin Luther King day.
NO ONE CAN PLAY IN THE FOLLOWING!!
You can't play in Master, Expert, A, B or C on Saturday-Sunday only. This
option does not exist for these sections.
You can't play in 1700-1899, 1400-1699, D, E or U900 with a 4-day, 3-day, or
Sunday-Monday schedule. No such options exist for these sections.
Prizes $20,000 based on 250 paid entries (re-entries count as half entries, Under 900/Unrated Section as quarter entries), minimum $16,000 (80% of each prize) guaranteed.
Master Section (over 2199): $1500-800-400-200, top U2400 $700-400. FIDE rated.
Expert Section (2000-2199): $1000-500-300-200.
Class A Section (1800-1999): $1000-500-300-200.
Class B Section (1600-1799): $1000-500-300-200.
Class C Section (1400-1599): $1000-500-300-200.
1700-1899 Section (1700-1899): $1000-500-300-200.
1400-1699 Section (1400-1699): $1000-500-300-200.
Class D Section (1200-1399): $1000-500-300-200.
