The 2025 New York State Scholastic Championships have been divided into two separate, consecutive weekends, in Saratoga Springs, NY.  This was done in order to increase the capacity of the event, which this past year was filled to capacity in some of the sections which were all held on the same weekend.  The sections for grades K-8 are being held on the weekend of March 8-9, 2025:

March 8-9, 2025:  57th Annual New York State Scholastic Championships, K-8 Sections Only          Saratoga Springs, NY    ENTER NOW

Most of these sections will be held at the Saratoga Hilton and the adjacent Saratoga Springs City Center.  However, the Middle School Championship sections, which are primarily for players in grades 6-8, will be held at the Saratoga Springs Courtyard Marriott Hotel, about a 10-minute walk from the Hilton.

The above hotels may have additional room availability as we get closer to the tournament, due to later cancellations.

SPECIAL ADDRESS FOR PRIZES:

We have an email address for mail concerning prizes that were not claimed at tournaments. It is Prizes@Chess.US. To contact us regarding a prize due, please use this address so that we do not have to search for your mail among hundreds of other emails.

To avoid huge ballroom rent, most of our tournaments count on having many players use guest rooms at the host hotel, and asking for the chess rate gives the tournament credit.  For all over the board tournaments, please stay at the tournament site whenever possible and ask for the chess rate.  Thank you for your help!
