22nd Annual Southern Open. 5SS, 40/110, SD/30, d10 (2-day option, rds 1-2 G/60, d10), Wyndham Orlando Resort, 8001 International Drive, Orlando FL 32819. Free parking. Prizes $14,000 based on 180 paid entries (re-entries and U1300 count half), $8400 (60% of each prize) minimum guaranteed.

In 4 sections:
       Open Section: $1800-900-500-300, clear/tiebreak winner $100 bonus, top Under 2300/Unr $800-400.
       Under 2100 Section: $1400-700-400-200, top Under 1900/unr $600-300.
       Under 1700 Section: $1200-600-300-200, top Under 1500 (no unr) $400-200, no unrated may win over $500.
       Under 1300 Section: $600-300-200-100, top Under 1100 (no unr) $200-100, plaques to top Under 1000, Under 800, Under 600, Unrated, no unrated may win over $200.
       If unrated prize is limited, balance goes to next player(s) in line.

        MIXED DOUBLES BONUS PRIZES: best male/female 2-player "team" combined score among all sections: $600-400-200. Team average must be under 2200; teammates may play in different sections; teams must register (no extra fee) by 2 pm 9/20; teammate pairings avoided but possible.

Top 3 sections entry fee: $105 online at chessaction.com by 9/17, $110 phoned to 406-896-2038 by 9/15 (entry only, no questions), 3-day $108, 2-day $107 mailed by 9/10, all $120 (no checks, credit cards OK) at site, or online until 2 hours before game. Credit card entries not accepted by mail. GMs free; $100 deducted from prize.

Under 1300 section entry fee: All $40 less than above.

Re-entry $60; not available in Open Section.

3-day schedule: Reg ends Fri 6 pm, rounds Fri 7 pm, Sat 11 am & 5 pm, Sun 10 am & 3:30 pm.
2-day schedule: Reg ends Sat 10 am, rounds Sat 11 am, 2 pm & 5 pm, Sun 10 am & 3:30 pm.
All: Half point byes OK all, limit 2, Open must commit before rd 2, others before rd 3.
