    Premier Section (2000/up), Dec 26-29 only: 40/80, SD/30; d30.  See peakrating.us.
    Under 2200, Under 1900, Under 1600, Under 1300 Sections,
Dec 26-29 or 27-29: 40/80, SD/30; d30 (3 day option, rds 1-3 G/30, d10).    
    Under 1000 Section,
Dec 28-29 only: G/30, d10.

   
Premier Section (Guaranteed prizes): $3000-1500-800-500-400, clear or tiebreak 1st: $100 bonus, top USCF U2300 $1000-500. FIDE rated. 
       Under 2200 Section: $1700-900-500-400-300, top rated under 2000 $600-300. FIDE rated.
       Under 1900 Section: $1700-900-500-400-300, top rated under 1700 $400-200.
      
Under 1600 Section: $1400-700-500-300-200, top rated under 1400 $400-200.
      
Under 1300 Section: $1300-700-400-300-200, top rated under 1100 $300.
       Under 1000 Section: $800-500-300-200-100.


      
Unrated may not win over $150 in Under 1000, $300 in Under 1300, $450 in Under 1600, or $750 in Under 1900 Section.  If prize is limited, balance goes to next player(s) in line.

SENIORS OVER 50 BONUS PRIZES:  
Top born 12/29/74 or before, among all sections: $1200-600-400-300 (Unrated maximum $200).


MIXED DOUBLES BONUS PRIZES:
best male/female 2-player combined score among all sections: $1000-500-300. Team must average under 2200; may play in different sections and schedules; register (no extra fee) before both players begin round 2. Limit one Mixed Doubles team per player.

Top 5 sections entry fee: $148 online at chessaction.com by 12/23, $170 later online or at site (no checks, credit cards OK) until 1 hour before round 1. GMs free; $140 deducted from prize.
Under 1000 Section:
entry fee $50 less.  

USCF membership required. Special 1 year USCF dues with magazine if paid online with entry: Adult $43, Young Adult $26, Youth $19.  

Re-entry $80; no Premier to Premier.

For all tournaments, adjusted FIDE or foreign ratings, if higher than USCF, may be used. Players must disclose FIDE or foreign ratings when entering, or may later be expelled. Other over the board ratings such as club, league, scholastic, state or province, etc, adjusted if appropriate, may be used at our discretion if above USCF.  No rating below the latest official USCF rating, on the list corresponding to the ending date of the tournament, will be used. For 9 round events offering title norm possibilities, FIDE ratings are used.Click here for further details.

 

Ratings: December official USCF ratings used. Unofficial or Online Regular uschess.org ratings usually used if otherwise unrated.  Players must reveal foreign, FIDE and other over the board ratings, and these ratings, adjusted if necessary, may be used, if higher than USCF. See also above.


    4-day schedule
(Premier through Under 1300): Reg ends 12/26 12 noon, rds 12/26 1 pm & 7 pm, 12/27-28 11 am & 5 pm, 12/29 10 am & 4 pm.
    3-day schedule (Under 2200 through Under 1300): Reg ends 12/27 10 am, rds 12/27 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm, then merges with 4-day schedule for the 5 pm round.
    2-day schedule (Under 1000 only): Reg, ends 12/28 10 am, rds 12/28 11 am, 1 pm, 3 pm & 5 pm, 12/29 10 am, 12 noon, 2 pm, 4 pm.

All: Half point byes OK all, limit 3, must commit before round 3.
