US Chess Junior Grand Prix!
JULY 2-6, 3-6, 4-6 OR JUNE 30-JULY 6
42nd Annual World Open
IMPORTANT! The 7-day schedule of the Open Section has been cancelled, because FIDE seems likely to disallow any norms achieved at the World Open if this section has two schedules. The Open Section will have a 5-day schedule only. A few years ago there was a vote at a FIDE meeting in which a motion to disallow norms in events with multiple schedules did not pass, so we are surprised at what appears to be a new interpretation. The 7-day U2400, U2200, U2000, U1800, and U1600 schedules remain unchanged.
