7 rounds, Swiss System (no eliminations, similar scores paired) Game/65, d/5 (each player has 65 minutes for entire game, plus 5 second delay each move), Sheraton Hotel, 1 Bradley Airport (visible at airport entrance), Windsor Locks CT 06096 (I-91 Exit 40 to Rt 20). Free parking, free airport shuttle.
Open to all K-12 students; New England titles limited to players & teams from schools in CT, MA, ME, NH, RI, or VT. Team prizes based on top 4 scores from same school combined. No multi-school teams allowed, not even for "feeder" schools. Teams of 2 or 3 players allowed, but are at a disadvantage.
In 5 sections: High School
(K-12), Middle School (K-8), Elementary (K-5), Primary (K-2), and new Scholastic
Novice Section (K-9 under 700 or unrated). Players
face only those in their section.
Entry fee: HS $42.50, Middle School $42.40, Elem $42.30, Primary $42.20,
Scholastic Novice $42.10 if

Federation membership required. Special 1 year USCF dues with paper magazine if

Trophies to top 8 players, top 4 teams, top 3 unrated in
each section, top D, E, Under 1000, Umder 800 (HS), E, Under 1000, Under 800 (Middle School), Under 1000,
Under 800, Under 600 (Elem), Under 700, Under 500, Under 300 (Primary), U500,
U300 (Scholastic Novice). Free entry to all Continental Chess Association
Swiss-System tournaments thru 5/15/12 to top New England player in each section.
Late entries close Saturday 9 am.
There is no "check in" for advance entries.
Rounds (games) begin Sat 10 am, 1 pm, 3:45 pm & 6:30 pm, Sun 9 am, 12 noon &
2:45 pm. Awards Sun 5:30 pm.
Half point byes allowed any round for players unable to play that round, limit 2
byes, must commit to byes before round 2 begins at 1 pm Saturday.
